Meet The Doctors

 

Angel Heredia, M.D. Licensed Clinical Psychiatrist  

Dr. Angel Heredia is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who received his M.D. and completed his residency at the Universsity of Illinois. His child and adolescent fellowship was completed at Northwestern University Medical School and Children's Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Heredia's expertise is in evaluation and treatment in a wide spectrum of psychiatric problems, including attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and the pervasive developmental disorders.

 

 

Timothy J. Wahlberg, Ph.D 

Dr. Tim Wahlberg is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist. He earned his Ph.D. at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Wahlberg has experience in a school and university setting. psychiatric facility. and community mental health center as well as private practice. Dr. Wahlberg has published extensively on the subjects of autism and neurological impairments. and is involved in several ongoing research projects of related topics. He has spoken at local and national levels on autism and reflex-delay syndrome and has conducted a number of training seminars in these areas. Dr. Wahlberg is a member of the American Psychological Association.

 

 

 

 Lisa Sandlund, Psy.D., L.C.S.W.

Dr. Lisa Sandlund is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Dr. Sandlund has experience in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical environments including the pediatric medical setting, inpatient and outpatient hospital setting,  and private practice. She is a graduate of Wheaton College, has experience teaching Child and Adolescent Assessment and Treatment in the graduate academic setting and has conducted research related to children’s socialization.  Dr. Sandlund’s expertise includes psycho-educational assessment and the treatment of psychological, behavioral and developmental disorders including anxiety,depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and pervasive developmental disorders. She received specialized training in the administration of diagnostic instruments specific to Autism Spectrum Disorders at the University of Michigan and has participated in the continuing education specific to Autism at Yale University. Dr. Sandlund is a member of the American Psychological Association, Developmental Division.

 

 

 

 

Kerry Gremo, Ph.D, NCSP

Dr. Kerry Gremo is a licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She is a certified bilingual school psychologist in Spanish. Dr. Gremo completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University and her Ed.S. and Ph.D. in school psychology at the University of Kansas. She has experience working with children and families in schools, a psychiatric hospital, and a private practice clinic. Dr. Gremo’s clinical specialties are in clinical and psychoeducational evaluation with expertise in preschool evaluations. Her specialties also include behavioral consultation with parents and educators, and individual and family counseling. Dr. Gremo’s primary area of expertise is with individuals with developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and intellectual disability, as well as mood disorders and general behavioral challenges. She also has skill in assessing individuals with severe and profound disabilities. Dr. Gremo works with children from preschool through adolescence. When she’s not working, Dr. Gremo enjoys going to the movies, baking, and spending time with her family, including English mastiff, Gemma.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brianne Jonathan, BCBA, M.Ed, LBSI

Brianne is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a certified LBSI Special Education Teacher with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Aurora University and is currently a doctoral student in Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction. Brianne works with local schools as a Behavior and Educational Consultant, helping to support special education teams as well as developing curriculum and programming for students with high functioning Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, and Executive Function needs. In the clinic setting, she leads social groups and works with individuals to support social, executive functioning, and behavior growth.
